Good Luck!
It took me over two years to find the car I wanted... I just kept looking and saving money where I could just in case something nicer came along...
I don't have any pics handy, but I mounted mine in the trunk. I mostly listen to music from my ipod, so I just ran a long mini-plug cord back to the trunk. I can change songs and the volume right from the ipod...
I know that car lot well.... good story too!
I once drove 7-8 hours (each way) to virginia to buy back my first barracuda. It too was in sad shape and way over priced... came home with an empty trailer. I found a much better car since then, but I still would like to have the old one back for...
I just added two to the shopping cart and I received this message...
"The part BFG-71715 currently has 0 in stock and 2 that will be special ordered for you. Tentative ship date: 7/11/2012 if your order is placed today."
I guess that's better than August, but I am not sure I believe it...
I have tried everywhere to find 215/60/15 BFG TA's. Most places say they will not be available until mid august at the earliest.
I would also be interested to know if anyone is running 215/65/15 on a 15x7 wheel with 4.25-4.5 backspacing (on a 67-69 barracuda).
I assume there are no rubbing issues with those 225's on the front? What is the backspacing on the 15x6 wheel? What brakes??
Thanks again for the info! And I would love to see some more pictures at differnet angles!
Buy it if you can get it $100!
I have the following in mine (buying a part at a time).
$250 - housing
$200 - BBP axels
$350 - rebuilt clutch 742 sure grip, shock plates, U bolts (which was a deal!)
$300 - brakes
Not exactly a trade, but...
I sold my project cars/extra parts, and saved and waited until I found a really nice driver that I could enjoy and upgrade as I go.... it was by far the best car decision I ever made! I just don't have time or room for major projects right now (or in the foreseeable...
I have a huge stash of cardboard (big sheets) for this very reason! When I make a mess (not everytime, but it happens) I can just fold it up and toss it...
