Brake line flaring tool that actually double flares steel line?

A friend is in the process of repairing sections of brake line. His flaring tool works great with the copper tubing but is useless when trying to flare the OEM steel sections. So i'm looking for recommendations on a tool that will double flare steel lines. Thanks!

    More 3.6 carnage

My wife just got bad news her 2016 Caravan that she uses for work has 2 wiped camshafts. It has 105,000 km (65,00 miles) on it. It did not even have the usual loud ticking. It's not going to be cheap. She'll need to bend over for this repair. lol.

Grrr... was sent wrong type of pushrods.

I had to replace the lifters in my car and ordered new pushrods at the same time. I asked for LA style ball ends but got oil through pushrods. It's a stock *69 340 valvetrain. Too much trouble to return them now. I installed them anyways. Been running them for a bit as I don't think it...

Are "fartcans" being replaced by "noisecans"?

Anybody notice how mufflers are getting noisier? We have some youngsters driving around revving their engines until they backfire through the muffler. A lot of the performance car mufflers are noisier as well. The Mustang guys go out in a group and all you hear is BBbrrrapp! Maybe i'm just...

    Your first car upgrades? (Electrical/Mechanical)

This can be for running project cars, or like in my case a driver quality done by the P.O. or even a restoration you purchased. Body work/paint interior are a separate category. Anyways my first changes were an MSD ignition and distributor, repairing a damaged carburetor (broken mixture screw)...

    Well that was dumb...

I think we all mistakes while working on our cars, those oops moments. My worst one was when I was removing my steering wheel. I didn't have a puller so I was tapping on the back of my steering wheel to remove it. It was almost off so I decided to give it one last yank. Didn't work, so I yanked...

Thanks Dave @ Woodruff! Great service.

I contacted Dave when having trouble finding a throttle baseplate. It only took him a couple days to find and purchase a used one for me. He's now in the process of cleaning and repairing/restoring it for me at a reasonable price. Great service.

    Chicago Carburetor?

I've used these guys for sixpack parts as they had an extensive list. Calling their phone number gets a message no longer available and emails go unanswered. Anybody know if they're still in business? Yes, I'm aware that Woodruff is a sponsor and have emailed them as well. :)

Let's ask a question and never return. lol.

I'm sure you've all replied to help somebody but they never return to the thread. You were left wondering if they ever resolved their problem. So my question is, has this happened to you? BTW I will not let you know if you helped me with that question.

    Horn was stuck on (fixed).

I had an issue with my horn where the horn was always on. I had to unplug the horn in order for it to stop. I was thinking the horn button was shorted to ground keeping it on. Pushing the horn button we could hear the relay activating? Anyways we traced the horn hot wire to the bulkhead and...

    My wife HATES my car.

I've had it for about 15 years and she's only been in it once when I first got it. She complained about the fumes and hasn't been in it since. I hadn't fixed the trunk gasket yet. Anyways, anytime I have a problem with it she says "sell the damn thing"! At this point in time if she gave me the...

How do you like your Mopar, stock, pro street, restomod, etc.?

Probably been asked before but how do you like your Mopar done up? I prefer a stock look with performance add-ons that can easily be returned to stock. That's just me though. I do appreciate all of the cars I've seen here. If I had the money: a real SS BO29 Barracuda or real SS LO23 Dart

    Okay, show them in action.

Many of us have video clips of our cars. It could be just idling and rumbling, doing a burnout, or just cruising. Here's mine on a private road last weekend. This thread is useless without videos.:steering:

Does you car bring out the worst in other drivers, or is it just me?

I try to drive reasonably in the city with my Barracuda. However I guess I'm not driving fast enough for the guys with minivans and ricers and fartcanners. lol. They go flying around me, sometimes tailing me first. The guys with the newer Mustangs and Chargers make as much noise as possible...

    Nigerian bank scam

Anybody else still getting those emails telling you that you have millions waiting for you? lol. I've had a couple the last few weeks (in my spam folder). I mean it's been what 5 years since the scam started? Doing a google search shows lots of people fell for it. Sad.

Out of Hibernation first drive fiasco..

So finally our weather turned nice here so I took the car out of storage. I think most of you guys in the colder climates must dread the first drive of the year too when the gremlins may come out Usually it's all good though. Everything was going great so I decided to get on it. Was watching...

    Stop calling here!

I'm not sure if there is a telemarketers thread going yet but have to vent. I had a business going that I have closed but they keep f*cking calling! I have to screen all my calls now by letting it go to voice mail. The worst one was a vent cleaning service that spoofed local phone numbers...

Anybody use these guys "Sixpack Performance".

I tried calling them but their phone messaging wasn't set up. I need a new throttle body for a carb. Here's the link: Mopar - Accessories, Service, Parts. Six Pack Performance I wanted to make sure if it's as pictured (complete with throttle blades and mixture screws). It's strange that there...

Hood question (69 Dart hood with factory scoop)

I have a 69 Barracuda with what I believe to be a swapped hood from a Dart by the previous owner. I'm looking for confirmation from Dart owners. Also a question for Barracuda owners. My stock original sixpack and air cleaner will not clear with the flat original hood. Will yours clear?

    Your Favorite Abody

I'm sure it's been asked before but.. What is your favorite Abody and do you have one? I'll start, I like second generation Barracudas. My first was a '67 Barracuda notchback, 4 speed, with a built up 318, 391 gears, what a fun car! Unfortunately no pics of it. *sigh* Pictures are encouraged.

Project car (what was I thinking?)

It was about 20 years ago when I decided to try and save a '67 Barracuda Formula S. It was rough .. I spent over a year patching floor pans, replacing the rear frame rails, trunk pan, torsion bar supports, rocker panels and inner fenders. At that point it still needed new rear...

69 Barracuda in rock music video

One of my music artists while I was working at a Detroit record label (Universal music) needed a muscle car, so I volunteered mine. No Mopar was harmed during the video. :) You can see the music video here:

    69 Cuda rear floor

Does anybody know if there's a difference between the back floor section that extends over the wheelwells on a notchback and fastback? Is it the same piece on all Abodys? Thanks! And yes I know it's probably a dumb question.

    BMW drivers, why??

Are these guys arrogant, or what? They always seem to need to show they have a fast car. I was at a light when a 750-I pulled up beside me. His lane ended about an 1/8th of a mile from the light. Wouldn't you know it, he floored it at the green. So I did the same. He got the jump on me but I...

    Gremlins cutting into drive time.

Seems like my car is possessed lately. I have a thread going about a transmission problem that should be an easy fix, but not. Yesterday I was getting gas and heard fuel spilling under the car. Torn fuel tank grommet, again. Looks like I might need another filler tube as this is the second time...

727: Park or low gear (1st) madness!

I have a slapstick installed. I recently had a shop fix all the bushings in the shifter. Both of us came up with the same issue. Either you have a good park lock, and no low gear in manual mode or get low gear, and it won't hold in park. I tried adjusting it at home but got the results above...

    Need help IDing 727's

The transmission in my car is toast, needs a rebuild. I decided to get somebody to do that during the winter. I found a used 727 that a friend said was for a small small bock. My mechanic friend was in the process of installing it, but had issues. He thinks it's for a slant 6. I have another...
