I did read Ed Mc Givern's book when I was a kid and I suppose some of it stuck. I've never tried to be that fast, only accurate. Jerry is something else!

The internet can be used as a huge database. Google, Dogpile (what ever happened to Web Crawler, Lycos and AltaVista?) funny how old some stuff seems to techno geeks huh? Changing the sequence, adding, deleting and combining search terms often yield slightly different and often better...

My sister-in law needs help with either repair or an engine swap on her 2002 Outback. I have found several decent buys on engines for less that what one shop quoted her for one head, water pump and timing chain. $2900 seems a bit much when I can get a reman or fresh engine for almost half that...
