I'm faced with a delema I bought a 318 for my Scamp and it turns out is was Junk so if I'm going into it I might as well do a stroker who makes the most affordable kit for this?
dont know the cheapest, but the 4.00" crank will make a 318 a 390" they can be had for around $290 cast on e-bay. I would just find a 360 block and look at hughes site for the 426" kit then you would be the big dog, or at least the 4.00" kit to 408"
Ha! Use some of that Cyber Money and drop a Blown Hemi in it!cheapest or least expensive would be cast crank...stock rods and kb pistons...
if you have the money upgrade rod to scat I beams...
also you will want to find a set of 360 J heads at least for the larger ports..

Then again, that's you with your money and what you want to do with it isn't it?sorry if my answer does not answer his question...but I would not spend money stroking a 318 to a 349.....
by the time you cut or buy a crank....you can get the 4" crank....you got buy pistons too...
if no one expresses their opinions on here what good is it to have a forum....
Hey Mad! How much?
(Just wondering for the public at large.)
hey mad ,what piston rod combo do you have to run with your crank ? :read2:
I will post the Part Number later today. I need to pull the box off my parts shelf I forgot the brand, I think they are Silovite but I will verify that!
Doing it again on the cheap, Id use the Silvolite 1278CP and fly cut them.
Already posted MD -
There used to be a Sterling (LC371P) as well with the same Comp height, but its been deleted.
As you said - the 1278CP is considered a low comp truck/marine piston.
There is a Badger available as well, cast and p# 287.
