So I sent the heads off to get magnafluxed and new seats, guides etc.
My guy calls this evening to let me know one of my heads is cracked at the valve itself.

I have been told that an aftermarket head will not work on an RV Block as it will close off two water jackets and cause overheating, head damage yada yadya.

Is this true or what? If it is true what are the chances of finding RV heads? Or can something be done getaround the waterjacket issue?

I am so not familiar with this stuff so please if I have mis-worded something dont step on my junk too hard!:study:

I have had my question answered, appearantly, i can use mopar heads 906 915 and 452's. Thanks

Unless your using it in a RV any head will work, just try to get something with harden seats.

I ran into the same situation and called edelbrock as I was considering some of their heads on a 440-3 block which is what you probably have. I was told to run the standard head gasket for a std 440 and it would block the extra cooling passages in the 440-3 block which you will not need in a street engine.
