The safest place for any car parts is in the house, or a heated air conditioned basement. Not much in the outside shed. I'd hate to take a picture of my basement with 3 cars and most of my spare parts.
I had a pair of Magnum heads downstairs for probably 10 years. I brought them up to take them to a swap meet (and never die) A few days in the garage and they flash rusted on the machine surfaces. Back to the basement they go!
Basement some parts,... but tell me how you get a complete engine out of the house ?? ........ do you have the hulk on speed dial ?
actually no, that's what the garage, basement and sheds are for.. I will qualify that with that fact that my kids get into everything and I don't want them getting hurt or destroying anything.. I'm teaching them to respect boundaries and other peoples space and property, a concept they haven't fully grasped yet, so while they are all noses and unaware of consequences, the parts, cars and motorcycle are off limits.. sheds and garage are locked and the basement is still "a 'pooky place".. my daughter is still convinced that there are boogeymen-men down there . My son gets it to some degree, but he's not careful enough yet.
It was mentioned that it was creepy, so I fixed it I can put it back for youThe orange was so you.

You must have a big basement.I have my Newport's entire interior (sans headliner) in my basement.

I had a few 2x8s and I laid two side by side on the floor as wide as the casters on a moving dolly. We put a loop of chain across the intake, invited a few strong friends, put a 2" pipe through the chain. Then we lifted the engine onto the dolly and rolled it the length of the 2x8s, keeping it balanced. Put two more 2x8s at the end and rolled again. Moved the back ones forward until we reached the back door. The three steps out the back door required a brut strength effort by two of us on each end of the pipe. Then back to using the moving cart down the sidewalk until we reached the engine hoist on the driveway. No damage, no hernias!Basement some parts,... but tell me how you get a complete engine out of the house ?? ........ do you have the hulk on speed dial ?
I maaaaay have picked that avatar intentionally....Creepy? Compared to what? Creepy is what you have now. The orange was cool. Fit you like an.....orange peel.
For me, i never got married, no wife or kids, stayed a bachelor, live alone, so having parts in the house for me, would be a perfectly normal thing.Car parts in the basement are one thing, but car parts in the living room is a whole ‘nuther level...
Under my pillow...If you guys keep car parts under the bed, and in the closet...then where do you keep your firearms?
