I have a small crack on my 6 bangers exhaust manifold and I'm wondering if I can fix it without replacing it completely. I'm thinking JB weld or some other such backyard mechanic repair. Will it even work?
Try calling these guys:
They shipped me a new repro to my front door in 4 days for just under $200 and it came with a big bag full of hardware and brackets (and they told me that they were out of stock and would have the manufacturer ship it directly).
I found that most of the used slant 6 exhaust manifolds either have cracks, or are gonna soon. The new ones will last longer.

Not trying to be a smartass, but the jury is out on the new (made in China) Slant 6 manifolds. For your sake I hope it does last a long time, but I'm not sure it's a good quality piece.
I have had good luck brazing them with a torch.I broke the one on my tractor in two and brazed it back together.
i had a cracked manifold on the engine in my boat. Jb weld worked like a charm.

BRAND NEW. 125 bucks free shippin. Bigger enforcing ribs than the original. Thicker castin than the original. You can SEE it's thicker. I don't care if it's flaming homo chinkesium. It's gotta be better than a busted one.
