Hello, and Happy New Year. As some of you know, I am having my 340 rebuilt due to a crank failure at the thrust bearing. Heres what I know about the engine. I have X heads going back on it. The previous cam was a purpleshaft and had a .506 lift. The cam profile showed over.020 wear on more than one lobe. I'm having a 372 stroker kit installed. The bore is .040 over. I'm trying to hold the compression to around 10.5:1. CRT 904 trans. with reverse manual Hurst. 3800 stall converter. (most likely will be changed) Should the new cam have that much lift with the stroker kit? I'm looking to make torque with this build.
I'm not going to race it. (unless they insist.) :burnout:
