I had another very long conversation with Mike thermos. He covered quite a number of aspects..
Because I think it's badass...You may have this posted somewhere and I may have missed it but why are you so hard set on running a Tunnelram. Just curious.
I'm a 17 year old kid trapped in a 50+ body... (When it comes to the car)...Ok I get it.

First and foremost I'm cool without the car just ask me LOL...I guess I never had that. I never cared about being cool. My plan was all based on being as fast as I could

No question I like my car to have all the cool stuff...
My plan to was to be as fast as I could and my budget dictated that I'd had enough! LOL I still have plans of going fast but I prefer to be quick and could see myself liking the 8th mile better in that sense.. once the car starts getting up near 120 it just seems a little too fast..
But I have a quandary because the 8th mile just doesn't seem to be long enough nor does the quarter-mile for that matter... I guess that's why I like my snowmobile the best because it's the equivalent of a 940 horsepower car that I ride all day... 160 + horsepower for its 500 lb...(2 cylinder 2 stroke direct injected)
That's easy! I have three hoods for my car. The factory one in the shed LOL and the one with the hole in it and the one that I'm currently running with the hole in it just the aluminum skin of a feather duster.. (10lbs.)...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
I will say a good tunnel ram is far superior to any single 4. If my car didn't have a Raisin Bran hood I'd have a TR.
1008..What head gaskets are you using?

Always commenting something to put me down on my threads never to bring me up... You're a real world class...Same here, I’ve spanked a bunch of cool cars over the years.
What about Clarence for Pistons that are 10 thousandths above deck? With closed chamber heads? .028 isn't a comfortable number...Don’t use the FelPro 8553 head gaskets, those are for a stock type rebuild. They will not handle high CR, boost or Nitrous.
I’d stay with the 1008....
There’s debate on using them with aluminum heads. (Brindle)
Compressed thickness varies widely on the 8553.....
Something to ponder.....
a SBM head gasket is the weakest link
My intentions are very moderate...There are quite a few guys using the 8553 with a moderate shot of nitrous but they do vary A TON in thickness. Only way to be dead on sure is a cometic.
