Thougt long and hard about what sizr tires I wanted. decided to go with 215/70/14's. Stock ralley wheels ( I think 5.5" or 6" ). Wanted 205's on the front but Sears said BF Goodrich isn't making them anymore. Very pleased with what I ended up with. Hope these pics can help someone when choosing their own. No issues with rubbing.

I just put these on a couple weeks ago. I'm not sold on the rims yet, but they're kinda growin on me. Big improvement in handling over the skinnies i had up front even though the current tires are mismatched and of low quality. I have some .75" spacers coming for the rear.

Front

Wheel Brand - no-name aluminum slots 4" bolt pattern
Size - 14x6
Backspacing - 4"
tire size - 215/70/14
Suspension mods - none, v-8 on /6 torsion bars so it rides low

Rear

Wheel Brand - no-name slots again, 4" bolt pattern
Size - 14x8
Backspacing - 4"
tire size - 245/60/14
Suspension mod - skyjacker air shocks pumped all the way up, stock '70 A-body 8 3/4 rear axle

I had to roll the rear wheel arch lips with some pipe to get clearance. the rims could definitely use another inch of backspace and everything would be fine.

I went with 225's in rear as tire store didn't have 205's to match 235 Radial TA's he had. So I went with the Coopers and kept all 4 tires the same.\
235's would fit without any problems. I tried posting picture but it didn't work. Ill post one when I get home to my computer.

71 scamp 245/60/16 rear (very minor grinding involved) 215/60/16 front on steel ford rims had to use adaptors and one spacer. on my 63 dart 225/60/16 rear 225/50/16 front on steel 98 intrepid rims had to use adaptorss no spacers super cheap and they look good! also the darts rear could swallow a 235/60/16 easily.

I am running a set of wheels from custom wheel market out of CA. The fronts are 15 x7 with 4.00 backspace and 215/60R15 bfg on the front and 15x7 4.00 backspace with 245/60R15 on the rear. Both are 4.5 bolt pattern. I am running a A-body 8 3/4 rear sitting in the stock location. The picture is of my unfinished car with the tires and wheels installed.

That's close to what my Valiant came with. I've since gone +4 on the wheels, and at least 3x more rubber on the ground. That Dart's gonna be sweet when you get her all cleaned up!
