Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got to go. I got the truck loaded this morning. Couldn't or wouldn't do it last night with all the severe weather we had.
Cheryl is in a little panic cause she likes to give everything a visual check to make sure I didn't forget anything...haha. I haven't ever yet.
She should of got up earlier.:D

Good morning. It's Willys Wednesday. It is Wednesday? Isn't it? Long weekend in the desert. Much BBQ, substantial Beer, lots of granbrats, good racing, all around good time.

So this week I'm gonna try the full on rebuild on the polara's front suspension. In previous goes, I always sprung for the rebuilt LCAs, this time though, I'm gonna rebuild them myself. Been watching the clips on how to do it, seems pretty straight forward. Anyone have any last minute tips?

There's guys that get super serious about that...
I have seen them. I was into it growing up the local hobby shop had a track and did races on the weekend. Good prizes also for the top three of the day. Aurora model motoring only. They made them a few miles away from there..

Chris whatch using a press on them pretty easy to bend the arm if not supported right.

I use an air hammer to remove them. Catch them on the outside flange edge...they pop right out.. just dont cut on the arm... Then I use metal sleeves and adaptors, and sometimes my press to reinstall

I'm a fan of using heat to a modest amount to assist press type situations. We were disassembling a big cone crusher to replace liners. The bowl and liner screw into the frame, keeping in mind that it's about 5' inside diameter. When things are good it will unscrew with a crane taking some of the weight and a 2 1/2T come-along. This one not so much, crane and a 988 Cat loader and cable to unscrew it, nothing. 4 propane burners for about 3 hours and try it again and it moves grudgingly. Get it unscrewed and start looking around in there I find a 1/2"nc nut sitting in the female threads with scrape marks that was impeding our progress. It had fallen in during a previous adjustment and was locking the bowl to the frame, one little nut . At one time we had the 988 and a Cat rock truck pulling at the same time and it would not move

I used my ball joint press last time i did bushings. But in leaf springs.
Dodge drove away. His “mechanic” is gonna get an earfull this morning...

Dam CAPS LOCK!
gOOD mORNING

Yo TMM, I was talking to Hemi (my hound) this morning and we struck an agreement. In exchange for me removing the cone of shame she agreed to let me spray paint her orange and white so she can masquerade as a rescue St. Bernard. We will hang the biggest pizza or greasiest burger we can find around her neck and come rescue ya. We will break you out today if you need. We can be there in less than 4 hours, unless of course we ride the old Harley in which case I have to factor in stopping on side of road for repairs!
Wow, You got the good drugs,

Colorado Deer hunting trip I made, the ranchers painted their live stock safety orange to try to keep the hunters from mistaking their cattle and horses for hunting trophies

Good luck. I did mine with various implements of destruction as below. I bought the full poly kit, but decided against them for the LCA pins. Had to have those pressed in at local garage since I did not have access to a press at the time.
