Not familiar with 1/8 mile times, I would think that combo should get you in the 12's 1/4 mile. My nephew had a similar combo in a challenger and he ran 12.5's. (he now runs 10's after extensive engine mods.)

you should be able to use your original cable and kd linkage with an adapter from holley. I have one that I am not using that you can have if you want to pay shipping. Shouldn't be more than a buck or two. Pm me if you want it.

I had the same issue on a 73 charger that i owned years ago...it turned out to be header gasket leak. Try a pair of Remflex gaskets, they are reusable and won't stick or burn out.

BTW. this mod does not require a steering puller or any special tools... 3 bolts from your wheel, mount adapter, plug in horn wire, five bolt through new wheel, hook up horn wire to wheel, snap in horn button and your done.

Just curious how many of you have tried to fit after market steering wheels on your mopars. I built an adapter today that allowed me to mount a Grant signature wheel in place of my stock wheel. It sets the wheel back 1/2 inch. The stock turn signal canceling and horn functions are still intact...

Sounds like your float may need adjusting. Or needle not opening all the way.

The thing that I would like to see in the trans from summit is a hardened sprag. I would call their tech line and ask if it has one. If so go for it. If not go local.

See what color diaphragm spring you have. If it is plain or colored black try switching to the yellow spring.

When you said you had someone operate the linkage did you mean the rod that runs from the latch? If so...the plastic retainers that hold the linkage to the latch mechanism could be worn or gone. Reach in and get a hold on the release lever right at the latch.

sounds like a bearing harmonic. Could be alt bearing or waterpump bearing. Whoops...didn't read the second page of posts before I posted this.

years ago I had a ign coil short to ground. It caused the alt to charge like a sumbich. Just something to check if you have a spare coil. Btw the car ran fine.

balancer is the same. If I remember right the fluidampr used the stock bolt.

I just use braided stainless hose.

I wouldn't think the entire housing is bent. Probably just the flanges...if you have a circle track car builder in your area he should have a tool to square up the flange ends. ( after he cuts about a quarter inch off each end of your housing.)

those numbers won't help with cam ID. part number should start with 4. If you can't find part number measure with a caliper across round part of cam lobe, then measure across cam lobe itself. Subtract the first measurement from the second then multiply by 1.5, this will get you your valve lift...

I would go with the flat tops. Better flame propagation.

I agree...ran into this problem with a set of dart heads with harland sharpe rollers. Machinist corrected the stem height and the geometry was correct through the entire valve cycle. (this was on a sb chevy)

I would go with the gear drive if you can afford it. Never have to worry about a jumped chain and therefore bent valves. You can get quiet gear drives too.

Loosen the top starter bolt. Take the bottom bolt all the way out. Swing the bottom toward the outside of the bell housing. See if there is another bolt hole farther out. I have run into this a time or two. Not sure what the other bolt hole is for. ( the one closest to the center of trans.)...
