On my 68 Dart. I just have a small amplifier consealed under my front seat with the wires going back to the speakers. Then I just hook up my iPod the the amp with a RCA jack adapter cable which was like $12. Instant tunes and I don't have to mess with the stock radio. Simple.

Yep. The adhesion promoter stuff I used was called Bulldog. Great stuff. It goes on clear too. I used it for my door panels and my convertible rear panels, armrest, etc with a custom factory looking color I got mixed at Carquest. SEM is really good for fabric. Used to change my carpet color...

I used some extra trunk weather stripping I had left over. It worked perfectly. I just used some 3M super adhesive after cleaning the fiberglass really good with a scotch brite pad. Just an option.

It's not that hard to remove yourself. Best to have two people though. Install is another story.

I think it is five screws up top and the 2 on the sides. The window has to come out as far as I remember from doing mine. You may be able to push the lower portion out enough to get to the screws.

I like it. What material are you using for the backer board. I need to replace my kick panels.

Tilex mold/mildew remover. I used it on my white convertible top and turned out great. Just let it foam, scrub a little and wash off.

arm rests are the same. as are the front door panels and kick panels. rear panels would be different. Front bench and buckets seats should interchange.

I took your "sleeper" advice and modified the bracket to fit under the dash pad. Looks 100% better and looks very clean. I can still reach the cig lighter and the ashtray with no problem. The wires for the tach actually thread right behind the dash cluster. It is actually very stiff as well and...

I thought about slipping it below the dash pad but it may get in the way of the ashtray and the cigarette lighter. I don't use either one though. I going to fab up another one just to see how it looks. Didn't know that about Mr. Norm. Cool. I got the idea from some pictures on here.

Well after looking at the instructions for my new tach I didn't like the idea of drilling holes into my newly painted dash. I did a little search here on FABO and found a few ideas and pictures. This is what I came up with and it beats paying $60. This was from some left over scrap sheetmetal...

no sanding or scuffing. just scrubing. I used simple green for the dirt and grim then some mineral spirits for any oils. Then wiped dry with terry cloth then tacky cheese cloth. Vinyl prep then color. Pretty simple and looks good. SEM is good stuff. I wanted mine color matched light blue...
