    I suggest you get your stock one recored.I run a stock 318 2 core in my race car with a worked over sb 410c.i.Or you could try useing a clutch fan too.

    I still have the factory recovery bottle in my 66 Dart.Its just a plastic bottle with a hole for hose in the metal cap.

    I ended up buying a universal alumi crank pully from Mancini,s so my waterpump and cranks pullys would line up on the 410.I tried one of the flexolite adapters,but it was to thick.Just mentioning what I had to do.:D

    I run a stock re-cored 318 2 core rad in my race car,running 10,s without any heating issues.Sounds like your rad is gunked up,get it record,less headache.JMO

    WoW $99?I bought one 3 weeks ago for $35 on sale at CT(works great for the race car and track).I,m with Steve here about it being the original anti-freeze(turns acidic)Time for a real good flush,and top up.Change the stat also.Good luck.

    It sounds like it,s time for a new heater control switch?Maybe find a used one at the wreckers or place an ad in the parts wanted forum.Good luck. Does your heater control look like this??

    Glad you got it figured out.Obviously your builder didn,t do a very good job of cleaning the heads and block when it was apart for rebuild.(blockage)

    You could probably get a good sheet of heat sheild from the wreckers,usually on floor above catilitic convertor.Cut to size,maybe use large hose clamp for wrapping the starter.Just a thought.:study:
