    what is proper way to adjust tie rod sleeves?

    i will be bringing the car for an alignment when done but in the meantime what is the procedure to get the tie rods and sleeves set up correctly? i have all 4 ends showing about 7 threads. but now my 15 inch wheels rub on the fenders. may not be related but worth asking anyway.

    1 more quick question - space between steering gear and pitman arm

    i installed the new steering box and the pitman arm (1976 model). torqued the nut (with split washer) to 180 ft lbs. there is about an inch between the top of the pitman arm (on the shaft end) to the bottom of the steering box. my 67 arm has a bit less space than this meaning it looks like...
