See Post #30So with everything being said , Stock 340 steel crank , .060 over , Going to have Eddys for heads , Victor intake , 750 QF carb , what do you guys suggest piston/rods setup for my application? I want a very strong bottom end that's not afraid to rev.
FYI, remember the 273's used a heavy wrist pin to offset the smaller pistons compared to the 318. It would be fun to see what combo you would need to use a 273 crank in a 340. Heck, the 273 rods would be good to probably 450+ horse. The 400 horse 318 builds used stock rods. Same rod as the 273 uses.
