How in the world I'll never know, but I have ended up with the following intakes. I'm doing my budget 325-350 horse 360 build now. I have the following intakes that are gathering dust. I'm not sure which one I want to go with yet. I really don't know that I want to go drop $300 on an RPM Performer.
LD340
Torker II
Weiand single plane 7510
Victor (not sure about hood clearance)
A great idea, just dont do it in a weekend. Try a manifold for 5 days or so if you have the luxury of consistent weather. See how the car starts, idles cold, idles warm, drives during the day, and when its cold after sundown, highway, traffic light to light etc.I am a firm be-leaver of using what is on hand.......just pick one.......drive it around, like it?, you scored a home run on your first at bat, good for you.......don't like it, change it, you got 3 more to choose from, like it?, you're batting .500, still pretty good...........I think at this point you can get where I'm coming from, because in the end, YOU will have learned something no one can take away from you.......swapping them out is a couple of hours, you're having fun working on your car.
The next time some one asks a question like this, you can give your own personal experience.
You wouldn't notice much if any difference between the LD340 and LD4b. On stuff at that power level it's basically a wash.

I missed that 2! The LD340 is a no brainer sell the rest. If you still want the RPM I'll swap you mine. I like the LD340 because you can use a spread bore TQ without an adapter!
Correct. I had two, and both were square bore. they will have a small notch out of the divider in the back.No you cannot. No LD340 ever came like that. They had enough meat to modify, but all of them ever made were square bore intakes. Every single one. I've seen a few that were modified.......some nicely and some crapped all up, but none ever came spread bore.
I know it's a square bore but there's extra added material to allow you to bore it out to fit a spread bore, where the RPM doesn't.No you cannot. No LD340 ever came like that.
