65 will be a close match--- still cable shifted, you can swap your 64 valve body into the 65 tran & have a 64 transmission.(there might be more pieces). check into that-- or find a 65 floor shift & mount it in your car. Lawrence

I do not think the factory pushbutton typewriter will operate an aftermarket cable, I've seen a guy use the push button style tranny/cables/controler-- adapted to his rat style rod-- worked slick. Lawrence

have you verified that it is a sure grip? with only 1 tire leaving tracks I would doubt your rear is the sg style. at this point I believe the only way to tell is drop out the 3rd member & visually check the carrier for a sg unit a 741 pumpkin could have anything at this point in history...
