If I had a set of good magnumheads, and a LA 318 with a couple burned valves............. What would it take to put them together.

99.999999999% of you here seem to run hydraulic cams, and 95% seem to run stock style non adjustable rockers....... Being someone who despises the not so handy invention called a hydraulic lifter, I am curious why most use them? Is it cost? The fact you don't have to adjust them ever ever...

I have two sets of 7.5" pushrods for iron adjustables. When I built my 318 for my boat, it had a set of stock iron adjustables. It had 7.5 pushrods. They are about 3/16" too long, so, I stole the pushrods out of my 390. I called comp, told them whet I had, and they sent me a set of pushrods...

I have always put them in the same way they came out, I never ever thought about it before, but can you turn them???

If you are running 480 lift, besides changing the springs, make sure your retainer isn't going to beat on the valve seal, AND you may have to mill down where the spring rides on the head to get you installed height too...... Food for thought, check twice, do one. LOL

My Chrysler marine 360 broke a crank, right at the last rod journal, anyone know of a good quality crank to put in the 360? Or should I just pull one of my cranks out and stuff it in?

What would be the easiest way to tell if your engine had a mechanical cam, if it is complete, in the car, and running........... Lord I hope this thing is mech..............

So this isn't an A body engine question, but I need some opinions. I have a Boat, with a 360 in it. It has the little single plane 4bbl manifold on it from the 318 it replaced. What effect do you think the little port manifold has on the big port heads? I have put 318 heads on 360's for hunting...

So, question, since I have never done this before. I am taking the 360 out of my 86 ramcharger, (vehicle don't matter, I guess) and putting a 93 Magnum 318 in it's place. Mounts, ect, will be a snap, it's the.............. Will the 86 brackets work on the magnum heads and block? A neutral 727...
