Hi, has anyone tried this: http://www.efisupply.com/fast_ez_efi.htm
Does it work on a 340?
Does it work on a 340?
I'll buy one when they go to the mutliport system not the tbi setup

X2 I saw that same episode on horsepower TV, Imagine what that Hemi would have done IF they would have changed the cam.....Have not tored it but Hot Rod magazine did a test awhile back. They dyno at car with a 4bbl chevy 350 then installed the Ez-EFI and within three or four pulls it was making the same power. They then took it out on the road an got 18 mpg about 5 more than the 4bbl.
They then took it off and bolted it to a car with a 454, same thing within 3 or 4 pulls it was making the same power as the motor did carb'd and got better mileage.
Last weekend the guys on Horse Power TV took a stock 5.7 hemi from a pickup and put put an Indy 5.7 intake on it with the Ez-EFI and headers. Again within three or four pulls they were making over 400 HP.
If I ever have a couple of grand burning a hole in my pocket I would go the Ez-EFI route.
In 1992 I bought the Holley Pro4 injection for my 340 and a Mopar M1 manifold, when my Signet was close to running condition, the Holley was removed and a carburetor installed in its place because no one at the time knew WTF it was about. I still have this unit, brand new in the box, computer, wiring, booklet and all.
I just wanted to share that with you and say that I would rather use an injection from the newer Magnum on a small block then to play a friggin game with an aftermarket company. I know that there are companies who make a harness and I'd rather do it that way then to play games with a company that pays for a profile in Hot Rod magazine just to sell a product.
I'm not sure if you'll understand or accept this but in the 70's when the W2 heads were coming about, Bob Mullins and others built spacers for Chevy manifolds which were simply modified to fit onto the W2 heads because Chrysler hadn't made a manifold as of yet. These spacers though rare can be made and with that said, imagine the possibilities of using the newer F.I. systems which are proven or just using the Magnum F.I. system with the stock computer with a chip and all you'll need is a custom wire harness.
There is another efi system available that looks like a Holley carb. I will post info if I can find it. The computer is built into the unit and it also learns as you go. Mike
Here's the one I was talking about earlier. http://performanceparts.com/part.php?partID=475940
I have about 2000 miles on the setup - runs great - made 21 more HP then my holley 390's and gets better mileage - starts right up and idles without touching the pedal
they take the same linkage and air cleaner as the carbs so I didnt even have to adjust the lokar cable
the fuel system was key- rock valley supplied an in tank pump and it was the best option since I didnt want touse a 40 year old tank behind new injectors and possibly clog them

Keep in mind I have a 2000 CFM EFI system capable of handling 1000 horse on top of a stock 360 ( small valve heads ) and it runs fine!
I cant get it to bog if I tried.
Thanks, looks and sounds great!

So after all peices installed what was the total cost of the EZ system. Turn key price.holley has had the projection system around since the 80's - it's the oldest
retrotech - in my research when looking for an EFI system had the most problems.
I could not get any other in a dual quad setup - EZ was the only one.
In my research all problems with all systems are directly related to users not following the instructions - I have helped 4 people with the EZ system since I installed mine and 2 of them had electrical problems - ( user related ) and after they went backl and fixed the screw up it worked fine. The other was fuel related - you cant use 40 year old **** in a new EFI system, expect it to work with the rust and crap in your tank.
Just my 2 cents - I installed mine and the instructions are clear - an EFI system NEEDS a good power and ground ( you cant go through a 40 year old wiring setup and expect the noise created to not cause issues....
