Hope to install this week...(maybe today even) To go with my almost new (within a year) barrel top polished aluminum radiator... If I was not so lazy, I would had done it when I did the radiator... But instead, just kept thinking about it till I found some misplaced Energy !!!! And Beer!!!

Ordered a windshield and a back glass gasket, from SteeleRubber, for the Dart GT. Finally found someone to install a new windshield as well as remove/replace the back glass.

Spent the day drag races. Made 7 passes and came out with 2nd place and a check. Duster ran great, got beat by reaction time. Good day.

Finished installing new window channel weatherstripping in my 72 Dart 4-door.
Found a old part number on the old weatherstripping.

Nothing monumental but progress in the engine bay, nonetheless... Yesterday's project was the stainless steel brake lines and prop valve. I also got the line lock plumbed in. The crusty old proportioning valve cleaned up nicely.

Sanding not hard by any means, none the less tedious and time consuming, at the best a mindless effort. Coffee break time, deep in thought I remembered reading a post about a washer being welded on the front of the “K” frame. A rarity by no means, but another uniqueness that our A bodies have. If I remember correctly there were a lot of stipulation on why it was welded there, but it is.......

Still waiting on the main bearings for the Imp's 440, so m oved on to rust repairs on it...

UPDATE: New painter found all the mistakes the prior painter had done. Looks like the prior painter did front fender and door body work with the parts off the car - body lines don't match up.
New painter originally told me body and paint would be finished this month but it doesn't look like it since he still needs to put some color on for the rear stripe, mask for the stripe and then paint body color, then cut and buff.
Waiting is killing me but I want it to be right when finally done.

Took a vacation day from work 'cause I'd maxed out my accrued hours and went to visit my Dart in 'paint prison'.
New "guaranteed" completion date is now the end of August.

Finally decided to go 'old school' with the rear suspension and ordered new 002/003 SS springs yesterday. Ordered from Summit Racing on eBay using the 15% off coupon info supplied by 6pk2goDemon and saved $40 plus free shipping.
Thanks 'C'!

(07/02/18) Springs were delivered today - freaky fast!
