How about some of Mr. Norm's handy work?
very understated, almost a sleeper350/417, ported J heads with 2.02 valves. Molnar rotating assembly, M1 intake, 750 Brawler. 520/541 on the dyno. Running 4.10s in the back with a GV overdrive and 4500 stall. Painted with same PPG colors to match the rest of the car.

That convertor has great street manners. It's a "tight" 4500. Lol.very understated, almost a sleeper
how does the gv o/d affect the 4500 stall convertor? it must still be slipping when the o/d's engaged surely? just curious.
thanks, neil.
That's a damn shame. I hope you can rebuild it!This one blowed up. Assembled dirty and incorrectly. Some parts were also not there... It ran real hard for a handful of passes.
Gonna find out at lunch, if there's a rebuild in the future. Lots of stuff got hurt.

All about the Benji's....That's a damn shame. I hope you can rebuild it!
Always. I bet there's some expensive parts in there too. I can only imagine how much that hurts! All about the Benji's....
I am so sorry this happened. It was a very cool build. Do you plan to post a teardown thread so we can learn what happened? This one blowed up. Assembled dirty and incorrectly. Some parts were also not there... It ran real hard for a handful of passes.

It hurts me to look it as I followed along in his cool build.Always. I bet there's some expensive parts in there too. I can only imagine how much that hurts!
Been there done that. Also bent 2 valves and made a mess in the chamber. Block took a good beating, could have saved the block with 2 sleeves.
Ouch! I hope you can recover from the carnage. Looks sweet. This one blowed up. Assembled dirty and incorrectly. Some parts were also not there... It ran real hard for a handful of passes.

a mate threw a rod out the bottom of his oil pan like that. it made 2 holes where it didn't come right out. we trimmed it flush inside, welded it there and plated over the hole (again inside) to seal the hole. it was funny to see people's faces when the looked under there and saw the carnage
Yikes, that's a serious piece! Impressive !!!!!!!!!! and with A?C. Love it.408 Magnum, Novi 1500SL, Methanol Injection, Terminator X Max, Coil on Plug, Performabuilt 6-planet, Stage 2 4L60e with 3800 stall lock-up converter, 3.91's, Davis Traction Control and A/C.

Didn't a lot of guys use Best Machine that is/was somewhere in your area? It's been a long time since I've seen any of the folks in your area mention them.We only found the cap for that rod. My Ritter block needs 2 sleeves, and both TI valves are bent in #1. The entire rotator needs to be replaced. I'm really having second thoughts.
There doesn't seem to be anybody capable and trustworthy to get it back together... in my lifetime.
I'm an orthopedic "nightmare on Elm St", and can't really handle the big parts anymore. I'm now at the mercy of other people's capabilities.
