theres one sheet metal screw in each corner ( maybe 1/2 way up from bottom of dash ), and 5 nuts on studs. I just got mine off also, but i already had the dash guted so it wasnt to bad. OHHH......the sheet metal screw takes a 5/16 socket, while the nuts were 3/8

My buddy had a 70's camaro done while we were in school. Our class did most of the body work and one of the guys from our class painted the car. The guy who painted the car, his family ownes a body shop in town. I can remeber some screw ups that we had to fix along they way.

im going to try the duplicolor vinyl and paltic dye. Bought it from advanced auto...like 6.50 a can. But others have said the SEM brand is very good. I think the SEM is a little duller (black) than the duplicolor.

another handy tip, when filling the holes.......if its possible hold a piece of brass on the backside of the hole, it will help prevent you blowing through the sheetmetal and your not going to weld to the brass. If you dont have brass, a piece of carbon rod will do the same thing. Spot tacks...

I bought the pre cut gauge panel from Joe at Fast Lane West racing products. I really thought i was just getting the panel, but he also sent me three Led's and mounting hardware. Nice little suprise, Thanks again Joe.

JUNK, dont waste your money....although i did make custom wrenches i bought there by cutting and welding for hard to reach areas . Was not going to cut up snap on or matco wrenches.

i like the idea, mine was kinda the same. I wanted the car black, and use the factory strpies as a guide for someone to airbrush the realistic flames using greys and black for that ghost look.

i had to use aviation gasket maker to get mine to seal. even tried to scuff the bottom first with no luck. Not big on silicone b/c you never know where its gonna ooze out at.

id say chop it if you can handle it. If you dont like it in the end, find a donor car and put it back the way it was.
