Double check the header application for the 5901 headers. I don't think they are listed for 64-66 Barracudas. I'm with Krazy on the carb.

I know one of the differences is the size of the cut out for the front or rear main. The 360 has a larger cut out. I think it's the rear. Some one will post which one. What are you up to?

Did your Barracuda come with a /6 engine? If so you need to change the center link to one for a V-8. Also called a dropped center link. I know this is the way with the 66 Barracudas and I think yours would be the same. What are you using for motor mounts and an exhaust system? Don't tease us...

Test fit pan to block. No gaskets, just check that pan flanges are straight and flat. Do this for new or used pans. On used pans check that no one over torqued the bolts and "dimpled" the metal around the holes. If so tap them back with a small hammer. Others I'm sure will provide more info...

A couple of soft taps on the side of the caps and worked them right off. Just like Rick said. I had a few problems with the machine shop work on my 360. I have had the pistons out several times, the above always works for me.

The gasket set for my mid 70's 360 does not have a gasket to go between the oil pump and the rear main cap. Am I missing the gasket or does the pump without a gasket? If no gasket, how about a little black RTV? Thanks, Mike

With your engine on the engine stand, turn it upside down.(pan off) Insert the truck dipstick all the way in the tube. Measure the depth of the new pan. Measure up from the block and mark the dipstick to match the depth of the new pan. I cut mine off about 3/16 short. Mark at the quart low...
