Post 11 second small block combos

-
I set new best last night at Midnight during TNT and 45 degrees with pretty dry air.I havent raced the Dart since early October ,but smashed my old record of 7.17 in the 1/8 with a 7.13 and 95 mph thanks to the 1.55 60 foot from my new slicks .Same old small block with 10 to 1 compression and a .484 lift / 230 duration hydraulic flat tappet cam .This motor has 170 passes on it now and going faster all the time..

Nice and sweeeeeeeeeeet!
Thanks man.I kinda cheated to get the 7.13 slip .I ran a 7.15 on the pass before and staged deep ,so the next time i staged so shallow i made the last bulb blink a few times before it stayed lit.By doing this i was able to get a "running start" at the pass as they call it and bam 7.1399 .Just barely a 7.13 but ,lol . 60 foot of 1.55 instead of the 1.56 on the 7.15 run and exactly the same mph of 95.04 (if you can believe that) .I know this car has a high 6 in it with what its got ,with more tweaking ...

Running 415 SB 10.2 comp. 750 holley hp. comp cam .535 IN .555 EX. 8"COAN 4000 stall. Victor 340 intake. 904 pushbutton with reverse manual valve body. Usually runs 11.50 thru 2.5 mufflers. Jayson
wow, jayson, that's exactly where I want my car to be. I can only hope, at this point, that our 67 notch barracuda turns out as nice as yours!

as far as the rpm's go...my car, I no longer have, was originally 5.38 geared dana 60
I had 31x13 mickeys ladderbars, floaters, and SS springs. 1.52 60 ft with the best ever of 1.499. 7.016 1/8 and 11.21 1/4 119.01 mph. big tires take away some gearing....
crossed the stripe at 7000 rpm....
the 1/4 mile times went south when I switched to 4.88, as so with the 1/8 and 60 ft. I then switched to 5.57 and ran 1/8 only 7.02 3 times in a row,
yes back to back to back......

A few years ago I helped out a friend with building his car, he raced it twice and sold it. Ran a best of 11.37@118mph, no tuning, we just turned up and raced it. It didn't have the collector extensions we dynoed it with when we went to the track, carb wasn't sealed to the hood either.

In a lightweight car this combo can easily run on high 10's. do you have the 60' and 1/8 times? I'm asking 'cause this is almost the same combo that i am building.

It was so long ago, I can't remember. The 60ft times weren't great, around the 1.6-1.7 mark. We mini tubbed the car after this meeting and then my friend decided he wanted out and I couldn't afford to buy him out. In hindsight, we could have just run Caltracs, some good shocks and spent some time on getting the suspension right.
